What Is the Game of Air Hockey All About

The simplest way of describing Air Hockey is that it is a game where two competing players try to score points in his/her opponent’s goal. This game requires an air hockey table, two players, two mallets that the player will be holding and playing with, and a puck.

The air hockey table typically has a smooth surface that makes it easy for playing; a railing surrounding the table prevents the mallet and puck from falling off the table. There are slots in the surrounding rail at both end of the table. These slots are the goals.

On the ends of the air hockey table where the goals are placed, behind and below every goal, you will find a puck return. The smooth top of the table is punctured with hundreds of tiny holes. This allows generated air to flow through, which makes the game smoother.
